SGGS Gathering

Yesterday ( 7th April 2007) , about 20 scouts from 18gtn attended this gathering. The gathering was great and all. But sadly, we did'nt bring back the best overall trophy. At least we did'nt come back empty handed. We got only 2 awards and that is the Best Fashion Show and 1st Runner Up for Dance. Busy Busy Busy

It's going to be a very busy( and i mean Veeeeeery busy) month for 18Georgetown North's members as there will be gatherings gatherings and more gatherings this month.
First up, we have our own gathering which is on the 14th of April. Scouts and St.John members of Sek. Sri Pinang are going to work hard and dedicate themselves to make this a success.
Next, we will be attending Peng Hua Chinese Girl School's Gathering which will be on21st ( i think).
Finally, we might be attending SCGS Gathering this weekend on the 7th.

As you can see there are loads of events coming up. The Webteam of 18GTN won't be able to perform at it's optimum rate due to all this events. We, the webteam, would like to apologize too all our loyal readers. Sorry.

CLS Gathering 2007

This time around, 18gtn got it's victory on the 25th of March 2007 at CLS gathering! Rather than the previous gathering(MBS Gathering). Sadly to say, we only won the Best Overall and nothing else, but what else could we ask for? The Best Overall Award is after all, the best.

We participated for all the events which is Dance, Cheerleading, Speciality, Imitator, Miniature, Fashion Show(Fancy Dress), Advertisement and many more. ( tell me if i left out anything =])

MBS Gathering

Hey all loyal readers!
On the 11th of Febuary, 80 scouts and St. John members of Sekolah Sri Pinang joined this celebrated event, The MBS Gathering 2007 'Everlasting Spirit'. We come back with 2 of the following trophies :-

First Aid Course

On the 31st of january ( Wednesday) and 4th of Febuary( Sunday), the scouts of Sri Pinang ( 18GTN) and the St. John members of Sri Pinang participated in this Basic Skills Course/ First Aid Course.

There were many lectures about' saving the human life at first help'(first aid), which also means saving someone in need before any professional help comes. There were many hands-on activities as well. These includes identifying what the victim is currently going trough, bandaging, CPR, and many more.

The whole thing ended at 6:00 on Sunday, 4th of Febuary, after taking a theory exam. The scouts went back with extra knowledge on first aid.Below are the pictures of the few hands-on activities we underwent:-
